There is no question that the Walt Disney company knows how to do many things right. Of course the company has its critics, but nobody can deny that Disney knows how to give you an experience you will remember. Whether it is the latest animated movie or the newest ride in their theme parks, there is always fun for everyone with Disney.
Walt Disney isn’t only about Disneyland and movies, though. Did you know they have a major ice skating show? Have you heard about Disney Water Parks? They really do a little of everything, and the water parks they do just as well as everything else.
There are two Disney World Water Parks to choose from: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Each of these parks has its theme that you see throughout the park in true Disney fashion.
Typhoon Lagoon is the one of the Disney Water Parks which is based on the story that there was a major typhoon that wreaked havoc on the shoreline. At the park you see surfboards that have been launched and landed here and there. There is even a boat that was storm tossed and finally landed atop a volcano. Every half hour there is a burst of water as the geyser tries to push out the boat.
In Typhoon lagoon you will find 9 waterslides, some of them heart stoppingly steep. There is a surf pool with six foot waves and you can even go snorkeling in Shark Reef with real fish and even sharks! There is a children’s play area and restraints and snack bars for when you get hungry.
At Blizzard Beach, according to the story, you will find what is left of a freak blizzard. Once the snow started melting this mountain became the perfect place for water sliding. Blizzard Beach has raft and toboggan rides a huge wave pool, and one of the waterslides is among the tallest and fastest in the United States!
Of course Disney wouldn’t be content to just create a great water park, there has to be a good story behind it to make it just that little bit more special and different from other parks. And it sure is fun and different!
You can gain direct admission to the Walt Disney Water Parks but you can also take advantage of a package deal. You can choose a day or two at the theme park with one day at a water park. This gives you Disney fun which can be broken up for a day to cool off under the sun in a water park.
